With a deep commitment to education and skills development, Kebapetse Dipitse is excited to take on her new role as Social Performance Practitioner at Waterloo Solar, where she will play a key role in strengthening relationships between the solar project and its surrounding beneficiary communities.
In her role, Kebapetse serves as a vital bridge between the solar plant and local communities, ensuring that community voices are heard, concerns are addressed, and social commitments are implemented in a meaningful way. Her work focuses on stakeholder engagement, managing community development programmes, and building strong, transparent relationships that support long-term impact.
“I was drawn to this role because it combines community development and renewable energy. It’s a powerful opportunity to create lasting positive change while contributing to a sustainable energy future for South Africa,” said Kebapetse Dipitse.
Kebapetse brings valuable experience from her previous role at the AIDS Foundation South Africa, where she worked in community engagement and social development, supporting community-based initiatives and coordinating projects that improved local livelihoods.
“The education and skills development programmes are closest to my heart because they empower individuals, especially young people, with tools and knowledge that can change their future,” she said.
Waterloo Solar continues to invest in community development and shared growth, ensuring that renewable energy delivers benefits beyond electricity, for people, communities, and future generations.
